EDGEWATER COMMUNITY NEWSLETTERS:
A variety of community organizations and several elected officials regularly distribute news about their organization, work in the community and other important community issues. Brief descriptions of these organizations as well as links to the organizations or elected officials websites are below.
Community Organizations:
Edgewater Community Council:
Since 1960, the Edgewater Community Council (ECC) has worked closely with block clubs, the business community, elected officials, faith-based organizations, community-based organizations and our fellow neighbors to improve and advance the quality of life in Edgewater.
Edgewater Development Corporation:
The Edgewater Development Corporation (EDC) is a local non-profit, community-based organization with the mission to redevelop the commercial resources of Edgewater to better serve the entire Edgewater community.
Edgewater Chamber of Commerce:
The Edgewater Chamber of Commerce provides an active, comprehensive program including business recruitment, maintenance and improvement, marketing, education and community services.
Andersonville Chamber of Commerce:
The Chamber's mission is to support and strengthen the uniqueness and vitality of the Andersonville business community. As one of the few urban neighborhoods in Chicago where small businesses predominate and thrive, Andersonville is a rare and exceptional place.
Andersonville Development Corporation:
The mission of the Andersonville Development Corporation (ADC) is to foster sustainable community and economic development in the Andersonville commercial district.
Eco-Andersonville:
Eco-Andersonville is an environmental initiative that promotes and encourages sustainability- environmental, economic and social- that enhances the unique urban character and local commercial vitality of Andersonville.
