Each year in the Spring, the EPIC Block Club holds an annual meeting for its members. The Annual Meeting provides an opportunity for members to get to meet one another, to meet the EPIC Executive Committee, to learn about what is happening in the neighborhood and to elect the new Executive Committee. Annual Neighborhood Garage Sale

EPIC and neighboring block clubs BARGE Neighbors Community Organization, Edgewater Glen Association (EGA) and Edgewater North Neighbors (ENN) hold an annual neighborhood garage sale. The 2010 garage sale will be held on Saturday, June 5th. As we have in past years, EPIC will ask all participants to price and donate one item to the sale, proceeds of which were contributed to Care for Real, the Edgewater Community Council's food and clothing pantry. EPIC Annual Spring Potluck

EPIC members and friends gather annually for a spring potluck. The 2010 Spring Potluck will be held on Saturday, June 19th beginning at 6:30 p.m. at Bethany Evangelical Lutheran Church, 5944 N. Magnolia. Stay tuned for more details.

EPIC members meet North Edgewater Beach Association (NEBA) members for weekly positive loitering walks at the northeast corner of Broadway and Thorndale. The walks begin at 8:00 p.m. in the late spring, summer and early fall and at 7:00 p.m. in late fall, winter and early spring. Walkers call 311 if they see something that needs the city's attention and 911 if they suspect criminal activity. This is an opportunity to exercise, walk the dog, and get to know your neighbors and neighborhood.

The EPIC Executive Committee held a Summer Mixer at St. Andrew's Inn (5938 N Broadway) on Tuesday, July 14th. St. Andrews offered all EPIC Members their first drink at half price. This event was an opportunity to get to know your neighbors and to support one of our finest neighborhood establishments. We anticipate holding another Summer Mixer in 2010.
